MARELLA Spring Summer 2020 Campaign
Globetrotter and eclectic, Marella’s Spring Summer 2020 woman is always on the move, jumping from one hemisphere to another, living in cities from dawn to dusk. It’s a metaphorical journey, ranging from the vibrant colors of Brazil to the metropolitan designs of New York.
Prints pop up throughout the collection, starting with an original toile de jouy that mixes the iconography of the Big Apple with landscapes, flora, and fauna of the African continent, thus creating a completely new and modern urban jungle design for cotton knits, skirts, blouses and safari jackets, the must-have garment of the season.
The asymmetrical stripes of different sizes create magnetic designs in black and white, to be mixed with touches of red for an energizing effect. There are endless ways to work on patterns and for Spring Summer 2020 Marella focuses on delicate flowers to wear in total looks, bayadere stripes, micro polka dots, bouquets inspired by tapestry and cheerful graphic patterns, with multi-coloured sinuous waves that bloom on the midi-dress, on the blouse with jabot, on the trousers.
In a season in which fashion extols simplicity, there is no shortage of timeless garments. Simplicity does not mean banality, but we rather look at the real needs of a contemporary woman who wants to be special and practical, who wants to be elegant but to surprise.
It’s a daily sartorial style, there are no stiff shapes, but everything becomes more fluid and liquid, sometimes even iridescent and precious.
In a wardrobe full of vibrant colors such as the red of the slip dress, the chlorophyll green of the organza shirt, the pink of the caban, the yellow of the dustcoat, the rusty red of the jumpsuit, the bougainvillea purple of the midi-dress, you need an essential colour, but with a high impact.
Colors and non-colors, abstract and poetic patterns, fluid and free shapes blend together in a concrete and elegant Spring Summer season.
