On the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Max Mara salutes the renaissance of this great city with a special fashion show which expresses the essence, the emotion and the style of heroines and heroes like Merlene Dietrich and David Bowie who lived there in one of his most creative periods. The event took place at an exclusive venue: the Neues Museum in Berlin which hosted a Runway Show for the very first time.

The Inspiration
The collection reflects Berlin modernity, sophistication. The design’s philosophy is compared to the period in which heroes and heroines like Marlene Dietrich and David Bowie, who lived creative and stylish lives. A focus is also paid to the Meissen’s porcelain references, the epitome of German craftsmanship.
The Details
Trench coats, bustier dresses and long tailored capes lead a collection that pays homage to the Berlin artistic renaissance. The collection also includes the total white Berlin Coat with the shoulders emphasized by embroidered flowers – a tribute to the splendid Meissen porcelain, and a mini series of sculptural jewels created in collaboration with designer Reema Pachachi.
