The American model Precious Lee is the new face of  Marina Rinaldi’s SS 2021 campaign

Precious Lee makes her début as the face of the new Marina Rinaldi SS 2021 campaign. The American model is a key figure on the current fashion scene and is wearing items from the Marina Rinaldi capsule collection by Antonio Berardi, that the British designer, of Italian descent, created to celebrate the brand’s 40^th anniversary.

The photography is once again the work of Erez Sabag and conveys an unconditional, sophisticated elegance, accentuated by Precious’ natural sensuality, perfectly interpreting the brand’s values that have accompanied it since it was first launched in 1980.

«We have always been game-changers. Day after day, we have supported a culture far removed from a certain popular imagination, steeped in preconceived ideas that reduce style and elegance down to a matter of size. The matter of body consciousness, more relevant than ever nowadays, has always been a priority for us, as has inclusivity», explains Lynne Webber, Managing Director of Marina Rinaldi.

Precious Lee was born in Atlanta and grew up surrounded by beauty thanks to her hair-stylist father, and mother who was a teacher with a passion for make-up. She was discovered in 2008 while accompanying a friend to a casting. From that point onwards, her career took off, launching her onto the catwalks at the most important fashion weeks, and making her the first black, plus size model to appear on the pages of Vogue America. Together with her role as model, Lee is constantly promoting messages against any form of body shaming and discrimination linked to race, size and gender in the world of fashion.
