Marina Rinaldi She’s Rebel
Music has once again inspired Marina Rinaldi for the Fall/Winter 2020 collection. Popular in Britain in the 1980s, the Psychobilly movement – a fusion of punk rock and rockabilly – was characterized from its inception by a Gothic, decadent aesthetic: the traditional tartan became an emblem for building looks that communicate identity and belonging.
It’s precisely on the tartan that Marina Rinaldi has developed this project, taking the classic Scottish squares in the brilliant shades of sky blue, lacquer red, bottle green and sunny yellow and using them in a series of pieces capable of combining tailored quality with the freshness of ultra-contemporary lines.

Thus were created maxi kilt-trousers, a tartan patchwork jacket, stretch T-shirts embellished on the back with silver sequin fringes and much more.
Wear them with faux leather skirts, blouses or shirt dresses, or with impeccable solid-coloured jackets and trousers with a very British taste.

The coats of arms of the English aristocracy inspire patterns of prints and embroideries for shirts and blouses. The tartan bouclé wraparound coat plays a central role in the collection.
