MRN is a selection of Marina Rinaldi garments suitable for sports and days out in town. Since its inception, the selection has been there for women discovering running, tennis, skiing, horse riding and golf, but for SS23, it’s setting sail for the Mediterranean.

Around the island of Majorca, where strong winds blow year-round, one of the most exciting regattas takes places: the King’s Cup. Each summer, sailors from all over the world gather in the bay of Palma de Mallorca to compete and experience great thrills. Inspired by what they wear, MRN Sailing was born. The timeless, nautical combo of blue and white is the starting point of this mini collection, where light nylon outerwear with mooring line-like drawstrings fits snugly over ultra-comfy jersey jumpsuits and jackets.

Blue and white—this time striped—take centre stage on maxi cardigans with large toggles. A touch of gold, borrowed from the buttons of navy-blue blazers worn in the evening to the yacht club, has been transformed into a radiant, laminated twill hoodie to pair with printed lycra leggings.

Completing the look are the now-timeless mock turtleneck with sequins that twinkle like the surf in the sunshine, T-shirts with rhinestone appliqués and a golden nylon sailor bag whose size has been adapted for city life.
