The Marella spring 2018 collection focuses on graphic effects for launching the new season. Delicate stars, stripes, polka dots and pinstripes characterise polished and refined suit trousers, jumpsuits or dresses. Everything revolves around blue tones with contemporary items, asymmetrical skirts with maxi gathers, chemisier dresses, blouses in light Oxford blue poplin. The trench - the coat of the season - comes in neutral khaki, sage, grey and blue tones and features couture details such as bows and a wide neckline. Tailoring, shirts and blousons highlight an active spirit thanks to contrasting bands, billboard lettering, maxi diagonal stripes and technical fabrics in sportswear-style colours such as red and white or in vichy patterns. Dresses are light and flowing and feature stripes or maxi flowers, small bouquets or geometric patterns.

Summer changes colours: red becomes intense as a sunset, green tends towards lymph tones, while pink shifts from baby to cherry hues. Exotic flowers take over the long-length chemisier dresses to wear with trousers in the same pattern or with contrasting monochrome pants. Gypsy skirts are plain-coloured or stripy and can be worn with masculine or romantic blouses for a new concept of full look. The vibrance of this chromatic combination is played down by the warm desert tones on blazers, sahariana shirts and oversize trousers.

Marella’s summer garden is an explosion of coloured petals: roses, peach blossoms and hydrangeas liven up blouses, trousers, mini and maxi dresses, making these outfits perfect for an informal garden party as well as an elegant summer cocktail party. If you want that big-night-out-effect, you can always rely on the red carpet maxi dresses. Asymmetrical, pleated, with lurex, bows, single-shoulder or bustier, in light georgette, filmy taffeta; dream-like dresses for a sophisticated summer evening. It’s time for lightness, femininity and sensuality.

Travelling is the main theme for Marella Sport Spring/Summer 2018 with its colours, patterns and mood. Minimalist cities and multi-function items such as the reversible parka, technical and monochrome on the outside with a floral light-weight feather down lining; the denim jacket presented in a classic or long-length version; light blue shirts with a touch of masculinity, softened by longer proportions, laces on the waist for a new silhouette or with a granddad neck and appliqué pocket. The trench comes in dyed satin or in cotton with stripy turn-up sleeves. Jeans are the protagonists of the collection, which features white tones and fringed trousers to combine with the small jacket that comes in seven different fits: from skinny-fit to mom-fit, from boyfriend to the flared 70s-style version. The suit is smarter and more easy-going, in stretch jersey ranging from pink to red tones, also in micro-patterns, starting from the blazer, the true passepartout for daywear.

Summer changes its path and moves towards warmer destinations, discovering light fabrics in the hues of the sea, featured on maxi-chemisier dresses, shorts and blouses that blend stripes and small checks, or graphic flowers, which shift from yellow to green tones on the blouse + trousers outfit, or on the midi-chemisier dress; pure colours such as white and butter-tones that characterise chinos, the printed T-shirts and the viscose tops. Everything is fresh and energising like breath-taking summertime views.
