AUTUMN WINTER 2017
Marella’s autumn winter 2017/18 collection summarises the style of the modern woman who is always looking for useful tips for tackling an intense and dynamic day-to-day life. For this season the brand moves on two levels, featuring different styles and trends to interpret freely and in many different ways, according to one’s own mood or lifestyle. Checks with a grunge soul and elegant fairytale-like red tones blend with the prints of the georgette chemisier-dress, the cloth uniform-jacket and the lapel waistcoat. The pleated lace skirt is worn with a biker-jacket, while the floral dress is paired with the double-breasted jacket in boiled wool, Marella’s it-piece for the winter. The collection rediscovers the codes of a chic and sober elegance and focuses on double-breasted coats presented in the must-have colours of the season: black, blue, grey and camel. The Nineties are the main theme, from grunge to minimalism: forest green long-coat, khaki trench and parka, stone grey waistcoats to wear with immaculate masculine shirts, high-rise trousers, skirts with lace details and the T-dress with belt. Floral patterns are delicate and almost hinted, while stripes - thin or multiple - provide a bolder look for the long-length chemisier-dresses to combine with georgette trousers and dresses with a modern boho soul. The contrast between essential and elaborate, minimal and maximal is now even more defined with winter approaching. Presenting a range from trench coat in black wool to the overcoat in intense pink cloth, from the micro-print suit to the colour-block fuchsia dress. Black regains its favourite season and captures the chicest coats, both long-length and double-breasted, the sartorial suit, the knitwear top, cropped trousers and pleated skirts. Basic items of today’s wardrobes blend with warm tones such as tobacco and gold, or neutral hues such as cream and camel. The search for a décontracté elegance brings back a grey palette - either in delicate or more intense tones - such as iron or tarmac, or embellishing masculine patterns such as Prince of Wales, Chevron, Pied-de-poule and pinstripes. Absolutely feminine.
